Olivia's Cake Smash
I walked through the snow to the front door, dragging my suitcase of camera gear behind me. Ringing the doorbell ignited a bulldog frenzy behind the door and I smiled, laughing about the snorts coming from the two boisterous pups so eager to welcome us. My assistant Jenny and walked in behind me, carrying the frosted masterpiece that would soon be destroyed. This was a bittersweet cake smash for me -- I've been shooting with Olivia since she was one month old, her parents purchased a "Baby's First Year" Package from me and I've seen her every 3 months since then. She's grown so fast and is one of the sweetest, happiest babies I've met! I'm really going to miss seeing this smiling little face so regularly!!
For this cake smash, we decided to shoot on location -- right in her own living room, this way the cake and I could keep her attention! There's nothing new to check out and no need to explore, which makes little ones way more comfortable right from the start! I was glad that I chose to bring Jenny with me because Olivia LOVED her! She was all smiles and giggles for us, which made for a really fun shoot.
